Blue lotus flower in a small pond.
Rather seldom are blue lotus in Cambodia. Only single blue lotus flowers here and there hidden among other lotus.
I am working hard to find more lotus and produce more lotus images during this visit to Cambodia. Hence just revisit this photo album and enjoy my results if you love lotus flowers.

Beautiful Cambodian pink Lotus. At this point of the lotus life cycle, the lotus blossom starts to develop an abundance of sweetest nectar and radiates a honey in a honey comb like fragrance. Specially in morning hours when lotus nectar is freshly available, lotus blossoms enjoy vivid visits by many different insects feeding on delicious lotus nectar. Lotus nectar is delicious - I tried lotus nectar repeatedly myself when working amidst lotus ponds and lotus fields!

Purple lotus love it dirty ... hence the lotus leaves always are dirty. While the purple lotus is much larger as the smaller white and blue lotus shown in earlier pictures, the purple lotus always love it dirty and thus are difficult to make beautiful pictures with all the much and dirt on the leaves. Nevertheless focusing on the beauty of the blossom al l else vanishes. Just as looking at a dirty but hard working man or woman - all dirt disappears in the heart of a true lover.
Hard working lotus - converting dirt and pollution into something useful for mankind and creation are like hard working humans. Hard work as an expression of true love!
